Lola Carmona (Seville,
1965) is a special artist, showing qualities in the use of colour from her
childhood. A Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville, she achieved
the highest level of her year in her specialty.
From the beginning,
her passion for artistic teaching, drove her to combine her creative work with
student art classes at her studio in Triana, Seville.
Her work, with
clear influences of impressionism and expressionism, in addition to her
particular concept of abstract style, symbolizes the effort to reflect feelings
intimately rooted within her, the need to communicate different experiences and
explore the yin and yang of each situation.
For Lola Carmona,
colour, with its wide chromatic range; and texture, in a permanent process of research, make up that
binomial bond that supports her definition as an artist. She cannot understand
the art without a mental explosion of colours that finally finds accommodation
in each of her works. Using textures give freshness to her creations, modeling
realities that need to overcome the two-dimensional concept demanding its own
space.
As describes, if we
combine the strength and expressivity of her strokes, we will have as a result
to an artist who is passionate and of pure sentiment.
She has taken part in several solo exhibitions in Spain and abroad.
Currently she works to complete a colletion of works to present a new solo exhibition.
